CUSTODIAN (FULL-TIME)
The Dallas County Commission is currently seeking a full-time custodian.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant must be able to perform general cleaning and custodial work to ensure assigned buildings are properly cleaned and maintained within acceptable standards.
Applicant must be knowledgeable of the materials and practices essential to the cleaning of buildings and possess knowledge of the use and care of dry vacuum cleaners, mop wringers, mops, brushes, and cleaning solutions. Must have the ability to read and write. Must have the ability to interact effectively with others and cooperatively with County employees and the public. Must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull or carry objects up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Kind of Work
Employee will perform custodial activities for the assigned buildings. Duties will include:
Restrooms – Clean and sanitize restrooms, refilling soap, paper towel and toilet tissue dispensers as needed.
Breakrooms – Sanitize counter/table top and sinks; Elevators – Clean all interior and exterior surfaces;
Public Areas and Hallways: Empty all waste receptacles and keep area clean; Sanitize and polish drinking fountains; Clean all glass doors;
Outside Porch/Entryways and Sidewalks: Sweep steps, alleyways, and entrances around assigned buildings. All other duties as assigned.
