Under the direction of the CEOO and/or EMA Director, the CIO leads and administers all County technology and GIS programs, including day‑to‑day operations, cybersecurity, compliance, and long‑term strategy. The Director ensures the availability, reliability, and security of networks, servers, applications, data, and GIS services across all County departments and the Sheriff’s Office; maintains a ticketing and service‑management framework; and supervises multiple staff members providing help desk, infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, GIS, and application support. The position plans and manages budgets, sets standards and policies, and collaborates with leadership to align technology with County and public‑safety mission needs, including CJIS compliance.
Education Requirements
