Full-TimePostion Overview
Under the general supervision of the Foreman, the employee operates the most advanced types of heavy equipment in the completion of complex and difficult construction and maintenance activities on County roads and bridges. Employees perform maintenance inspections on assigned equipment, notify supervisor of equipment repair needs or failures, and may assist with repairs. Employee performs routine manual labor as assigned. This is an experienced and highly skilled job. Employees may assist in training newer employees and serve as the lead employee at work sites. This job is considered safety-sensitive and is subject to pre-employment background check and random drug screens.
Education Requirements
GED or high school diplomaSkill, Certification & Experience Requirements
- Ability to perform or make decisions in high-stress situations/environments
- Commercial driving/public transportation experience or CDL license
- Heavy equipment operation experience
