The Blount County Commission office has a full-time opening for a self-motivated administrative assistant with strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Applicants should be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Office. Applicants must be willing to cross-train with other office staff members and be a team player.
Applicants must possess the following:
-High school diploma
-Five years of office experience preferred
-The ability to transcribe Commission minutes with correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and paragraph usage
-The ability to work independently, prioritizing short-term and long term assignments and tasks.
-The ability to complete routine accounting tasks
-The ability to communicate via telephone, email, and letter composition.
-The ability to multitask
-A valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to classes and training events
