Postion Overview

Under the general supervision of the County Engineer, the employee provides supervision of field duties for the construction and maintenance of roads and bridges, leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgment & initiative.  This employee is also responsible for managing the technical and administrative duties of projects from beginning to end; also assists in bridge inspections, conducts routine surveying and utilizes Microstation CAD. Assistant County Engineer serves as liaison between County Employees and the general public.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree

Skill, Certification & Experience Requirements

  • Ability to perform or make decisions in high-stress situations/environments
  • Engineering experience
