Equipment Operator 1 without CDL

Postion Overview

Under immediate supervision, operates variety of light construction equipment. May drive non-CDL truck to deliver construction materials to job site. Operates tractor to mow right-of-way. May operate compacting or roadway sweeping equipment in preparation for paving or repair activities. Performs pre-operation maintenance vehicle check for proper oil and fluid levels and proper function of all safety equipment. Utilizes a variety of hand tools and power tools to patch roadway and clear right-of-way.

Education Requirements

GED or high school diploma

Skill, Certification & Experience Requirements

• Heavy equipment operation experience
